Christmas Traffic and a Bottle of Colon Pills

My Christmas was pretty awesome, but also pretty traffic and car road trip filled. Whitey and I headed to Mother Whitey’s house on Saturday morning. We were followed by his sister and three of her kids, ranging from 13 to 20. We waited for them for four hours, before Whitey getting mad enough to leave and stop at a restaurant and wait for them there. We left at 10:00 am for what should have been a four hour trip, and arrived in Prescott at 8:30 pm. It was a long day, but also fun and exciting since Whitey and I love singing and talking in the car. Doesn’t make for a too bad version of a road trip right?

Sunday, Monday and Tuesday morning were spent relaxing and spending quality family time with Whitey’s family, especially his mom who we barely ever get to see. We opened presents, watched Christmas movies and just hung out and read. It was so nice and totally needed. I had been stressed with Christmas shopping and work for the whole week prior to this relaxation moment in Arizona. We headed to Vegas on the morning of Christmas to enjoy every moment of the holiday with each other’s families. We had dinner at my dad and laughed at my sister’s present being an ornament from A Christmas Story. Yes, my sister successfully tracked down the leg lamp ornament. It was hilarious to see my dad open it and place it on the tree as a lone ornament. I think my family got lazy this year because the leg lamp stood alone. We had a great Christmas dinner with my family and headed to the local bar to hang out and meet up with some of my closest friends. It was a blast and Whitey got to meet some of my old friends that I rarely get to see anymore from home.

We woke up hung-over and headed to my mom’s for Christmas breakfast at her house and more presents. Whitey and I could barely stuff everything back into his car to take back to California. It was hilarious. My mom gave me the most hilarious stocking stuffer of colon pills and candy. Whitey and I could not stop laughing at this for the rest of the day. Overall, it was a great holiday. More fun stories to come….

The Season for Movies

I am writing this and giving myself a load of crap for not posting sooner and most frequently. I have been visiting your blogs lately a lot and barely catch myself posting comments. I apologize. I will make it more of a point in the next few weeks of this remaining year and into 2008. There, I said it. I am a bad blog friend. I will improve. I promise. Just don’t delete me or I will get blog insecurity.

Life has been going great lately. Whitey and I are falling into this amazing routine and he has been treating me stellar lately. He invited me to a Christmas dinner with his sales representatives at his company last night. I had a blast. I always hear about these girls and it was nice to finally meet them in person. I guess he speaks highly of me and they couldn’t wait to meet me either. Which totally rocked! Cute boyfriend. Oh, and they also invited me to see the musical WICKED in LA. I was stoked. I LOVED THE LION KING when we saw it in NYC.

Whitey also surprised me last week and took me to the Nutcracker for the first time. It was amazing. I couldn’t believe how good the kids were in it. It is amazing they have so much patience and ambition at such young ages. I definitely recommend it to anyone out there interested in going on a Christmas date. They have them at local colleges and the shows at not too expensive.

I noticed I am a lot cooler when I am single. Being in a relationship kind of makes you boring to the overall public. I started looking at my life and noticed I am slightly boring. Oh well. I like it that way. I saw two movies in the last week….I AM LEGEND and I'M NOT THERE. I Am Legend was scary and left out many basic details that would have drawn the movie together and tied the pieces into a movie. I'm Not There was a movie about Bob Dylan’s life. I was not really into Bob Dylan and didn’t really know a damn thing about his life to start with, and the movie jumped around so much and was so all over the place that I think I know the exact same thing about his life as I did going in. I did see a really great movie a few weeks ago though, thanks to Whitey getting to pick that time around. It was called INTO THE WILD. You should totally see this movie. It is a little depressing but it was so so good. I highly recommend it. I have also become slightly obsessed with EDDIE VEDDER, who does a lot of the music from the movie. He is amazing. I am challenging you to take a listen. I recommend “Hard Sun.”

Now that I have bored you with my love for movies and my boring life, I will leave you now with THIS. Honestly, WTF!

Living in the fast lane

Where the hell did this year go? It is already December already? Is that right?

I just got back from Oakland/San Jose/San Fran. What a blast! We went to see Whitey’s niece play in the CIF State Championship for volleyball. They won!! It was such a great game and I am so happy for her. On Sunday, I went to the Raider game. Best. Game. Ever. The Raiders won and Russell played in his first NFL game and did pretty well. He has a gun that he might need to tame, but otherwise, I was impressed. Here are some hilarious pics of the funny Raider fans and the game. Gosh I love football!!

Tallest and largest beer bong ever.....
Poor Broncos. Haha, not!.....
Good lord, are they roasting a pig?.......... Russell's first throw.....

Whitey and I are great. We had to work through a few things. Aka, I was pissing him off and he was pissing me off in some departments. We are good now. Actually, we have been better than good. I just want to squeeze his face off. Ok, now I am making you vomit. Hope you are enjoying the holidays. I wish they would turn the Christmas music off already.
